The State of North Dakota and the Office of Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency (OREE) has received grant funding from the U.S. Department of Energy to ensure the resilient and secure provision of energy in the state. The purpose of the funding is two-fold:
1) Develop an energy assurance plan that details the procedures for the state's response to an energy supply disruption.
2) Create In-house expertise at the State level on energy assurance planning and resiliency, focusing on Smart Grid applications and vulnerabilities, critical infrastructure interdependencies and cyber security.
